Committed to being safe

At St Phil’s, we are committed to creating a church community where children, young people, and vulnerable people are safe and respected. You can view our church’s Safe Ministry Policy here.

All of our leaders and volunteers who work with children and vulnerable people are trained in Safe Ministry practices, hold current Working With Children Checks (WWCCs), and complete our own screening and training processes.
We follow the Safe Ministry policies and procedures of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney to help ensure a safe environment for everyone involved in the life of our church.

Our Safe Ministry Representative is Juliette Smith. You can reach her at safeministry@stphils.org.

If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person, or vulnerable person, please contact Juliette Smith or our Senior Minister Tim Escott at tim.escott@stphils.org.
If you have concerns regarding any member of our leadership team, please contact Tim or the Wardens at wardens@stmarksdp.org.

If you are aware of misconduct or abuse, we strongly encourage you to report it to the police or to the Anglican Abuse Report Line (1800 774 945)

We are committed to keeping people safe and to responding appropriately to concerns. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
